Stack of 300 (3%) of 9881 captured frames at 55 frames per second to freeze the shimmer of atmospheric turbulence.
Skywatcher 8 inch/f5 Newtonian, Televue Powermate 5x.
Effective focal length somewhere near 7000mm.
Imaged from Lysterfield, Melbourne.

That is a messy Ganymede just NW of the Great Red Spot. Ganymede, Jupiters largest moon, is the 9th largest object in our solar system, and is larger than the planet Mercury and dwarf planet Pluto.
